I was told about the site from a girl I met at the ARGC and she was right when she said it was a really helpful site. Reading thru the messages I'm starting to feel better about myself, knowing that I'm not the only one going thru this.

I'm 41, my partner 43 and after trying for over 2 years we tried ISCI for the first time. Unfortunatley I found out last Wednesday that it had failed. I cryed buckets, but went for a run and tried to think positively. I was doing fine up until yesterday - I had a really sad day and started to wonder why I couldn't conceive - was I such a bad person?

I have a post-transfer consultation in a couple of weeks, so hopefully everything will be OK for us to try again. I really feel sad for all of you that are on your 3rd/4th/5th attempts, I also admire your determination and hope I too can continue thru the treatment to get the baby that we so desparately would love.

Elaine x

Hi Elaine
You're not a bad person!!!! try and be positive and gain confidence from the girls on this site. I know you must feel down at the moment but it will pass and you can try again. I have gained loads of confidence from the girls on this site and their courage so take heart and it will happen.
Big hugs
Aly
x

I'm new to all this too. I have also found the site very useful, My partner and I have not yet begun any treatment yet but I know how you must be feeling. Sorry to hear about your 1st icsi.
Keep your chin up!
Luv Niki
Niki, Ali & Fi, thanks for the support.

My partner and I haven't discussed when the next IVF treatment should be, we are trying to be 'normal' for a few weeks before getting back to the injections & other med. I'm hoping my bruised, pin-cushioned tummy will get back to normal in time for my hols. Otherwise the bikini wearing could be fun!!!

Elaine x
