Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me? I tested on 9dp3dt via a HPT, it was a BFN. I also tested yesterday 13dp3dt, again it was a BFN. But today, ive tested a BFP! I have been bleeding on and off for about 5 days (pinky/brown) but yesterday and today, the blood is bright red with clots in (sorry to be so graphic). I also have very bad period pain cramps and bad backache. Has anyone experienced this but went to full term on pregnancy? My hospital dont confim on b/w but have booked me in for a scan on 3rd Aug! They have told me to do another test again on Friday this week. Im so confused, i dont know whats going on? Can anyone help?

Congrats on getting a BFP! Sorry I don't really have any help on the spotting or bleeding part but I hope it all goes well. I do hear of alot of women bleeding and spotting throughout their first weeks and all turns out alright. I will be thinking of you and praying for your little one!
I never tested positive on a HPT and am now pg with twins so the BFP is a great sign for you. Stay positive as well!

I remember specifically after my ET the nurse told me during the 2ww even if you get your period you still could be pregnant and go in for the blood pregnancy test. A doctor also told me an egg could implant and lining from a different section could sluff off. So good luck. Are you going to test again? (My friend was pregnant with twins IVF and got her period at 5wks, lost 1 egg but went on to give birth to a healthy girl.) Why are they making you wait until August 3rd for a blood test? My clinic tested me at 14 days post 3dayT. I had a BFN, but am going to try again. Hoping you are BFP!

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I really dont think there is much hope now though.
Ive lost soooooo much blood, worse than my normal period and the pain is real bad too.
Marmey - I was also told by my nurse that you could still have bleeding and go on to have a normal pregnancy. All my friends have since told me about people they know who have had bad bleeding and still gone on to have a full term pregnancy. I just dont feel very positive at the mo. Ive got to do a HPT again tomorrow or when the bleeding eases to confirm either way. I dont know why my clinic dont do b/w to confirm. I asked them when i phoned them for advice on this bleeding, and they just said its their policy? Ive havnt read of anyone else having to wait for b/w and scans. Im glad it worked out for friend.
