AF after IVF
For those of you who have had failed IVF cycles. How long after transfer or removal did you get AF? Was it the normal time as in other cycles, or longer? I'm right at the point where I'd normally get AF but I haven't yet, I don't know if I should take it as a good sign or if it's irrelevant since the length of the luteal phase with IVF is different. Any ideas?

I also wondered this after my cycles. After my cancelled cycle (didnt simulate enough) it took 2 and half weeks to turn up. Then after a falied ivf cycle it took three weeks to turn up after my ER. My last two AF's since have always been late by about and week or so. Before ivf I always had a 28 day cycle. I think it may take a while for your body to get back into a normal pattern again. My AF's have also been heavier too. Hope this helps.

HI, I was on progesterone oil shots during the 2ww. I got AF about 5 days after I stopped the PO. I remember when I was on injectables with IUI, I always got my period a few days later than I normally would have. On the following cycle I was taking off from meds & treatment I always got AF a week late. Hope this helps.

I think that it's different for everyone. When I was doing IUI's (6 0f them), AF always showed up about 3-4 days after I stopped taking Prometrium (the progesterone suppositories). With my first failed IVF cycle I was suprised to see AF the day after I found out I it failed which was 13 days after transfer.
I was pretty much on time w/ AF. Actually, if anything I was earlier than expected. For the first failed IVF, I got my period about 3 days before the pregnancy test. The preg. test was always scheduled for right around day 28. The 2nd and 3rd failed IVF, I got my period a day before the test. So needless to say, in my case, mother nature was my preg. test. I always found that my period was a little heavier, especially after the 1st failed ivf treatment. This next time I am taking the prog. oil too, so it'll be interesting to see if that puts a kink into things w/ timing.

My AF after first (failed) IVF arrived a week after stopping the PIO shots. It was heavy and a bit painful. I am now about 12 days past 1st day of AF since the IVF.
When I did an ovulation test, past two days I didn't get any LH line. There was only one visible reference line. The LH line was compeltely missing. I thought that the LH line will at least be visible, but with very light color.
Has anybody had this situation before? Is my cycle messed up because of the past IVF?
