Does anyone know if there is a tax credit for medical expenses? I'm located in the states and heard once that there was a credit for spending over $10k. Does anyone know much about this?

Yes! It is a write off as long as it is (in California) above 7% (?) of your income. We were able to write off the IVF, but the FETs weren't enough and didn't count. It certainly helps ease the pain come tax time! I know that she adds up all of my receipts and lets me know if we spent enough. I would call your tax person, or check on turbo taxes website for more details.
All the best,

I had IVF done in July 2006 and we added up all our reciepts from EVERYTHING medical. It doesn't have to just be expenses from ONE treatment or condition.
We used Turbo Tax at home program and it says to add up reciepts from co-pays, gas bills for going to appts, prescriptions, even reciepts from walgreens for just buying Tylenol or something. SAVE EVERY RECIEPT that has anything to do with medical. If it is over 7 or 8 percent of your salary, then you can claim it!!!!

also---there is a catch. it's not as exciting as it seems. if i remember correctly, you only get to claim what is OVER the 7 or 8% of your income. So, if 8% of your income is 8,000 and you spent 10,000, you only get to claim 2,000. I think. But that is better than NOTHING!
