no periods since 25

Anyone else had a similar situation, they were day accurate at 19 but blew away in the twenties.........docs are foxed......years later still foxed........I want to know why......any idea in who I can turn to to find out......? ps have had 6 ivfs,,,,,,,,lovely embyos,,,,,no luck embedding......still need answers

Hi Anita Although my story isn't quite the same it is similar. I was on the Depo pill for a while and I came off it in Oct 99 since then I never know when my periods will arrive and most the time I don't have one for two months or more. Very frustrating especially when trying to make babies. That was what prompted me to see Dr then when he checked out hubby he had a low sperm count too so it was double the trouble. We have had two ICSI attempts and like you I produce great embies but no luck embedding. My Dr told me I either want regular periods or a baby as they were two different things as they can regulate the period for the treatment. Although I understood what he was saying I find it very frustrating that I never know when I am ovulating and therefore not able to work out my most fertile time. I thought I may have PCOS but no problems with tubes. I am now trying to lose weight and trying to get healthier to see if that helps at all. We are not going though treatment at the moment as we have just returned to UK from Cyprus (where we had our first attempts) and not sure whether we will be joining the roller coaster ride again. Some days I accept our lack of children and somedays I find it really difficult. Sorry to waffle on a bit. Hope to catch up with you again soon.
