A question about the heartbeat

Post by Sue1234 »

Hi- I went for my first u/s today and the heartbeat was 104. I am 6w1d and the doctor was a little concerned (not much) about it being on the low end. I researched on the web and some sites say at 6 weeks anywhere from 90-115 is okay and others say the heartbeat should be higher. What was your heartbeat at your first u/s? Anyone have a similar rate at six weeks? Thanks -( I am just a bit concerned)

Heartbeats...

Post by karno1 »

I have had heartbeats all over the board with my twins (i am 17 weeks today!). They ranged from low 120's to 170's. If Doc says its normal, I wouldn't worry!

Congratulations! I had my first ultrasound at 6w3d - twins! Twin A was at 124 and Twin B was only at 102 and was a little behind in development. My doctor was not very positive about Twin B, but I had faith the little peanut would pull through. By the next ultrasound at 9 weeks, Twin A was at 172 and Twin B was at 178!!!! I just think some are a little slower to develop. I'm sure everything will be just fine.
