Morning Sickness

Hi All

my m/s started last monday (nearly a week ago) and i have been sick every morning and then feeling really sick for the rest of the day. (i was just under 6 weeks when it all started).

then i woke up this morning (rather late in all fairness...i usually get up at 8.30 at the latest and didnt wake up until 11 today!!!) and i've not been sick. i feel sick but havent actually been sick. although we saw one lovely heartbeat on thursday i'm now panicking something is wrong.

has anyone else had this???

Nothing wrong with that at all. I was sick for maybe 2 weeks and then after that only felt nauseous. Believe me it doesn't mean anything is wrong...you're just lucky babe.

ps forgot to say: i was hospitalised with OHSS and on my scan on thursday they confirmed i still had OHSS with lots of fluids and i've been signed off work for another 2 weeks. i half wonder if the sickness and all that has something to do with that?!

do you remember bec from the dec/jan thread?? she was on her 4th or 5th go and got her BFP. well, she gave birth to a baby boy about 2 weeks ago or so.

From what I remember of my pregnancy with my son 14 years ago M/S is dynamic... meaning some days it is SOOOOO worse than others and it can even fluctuate a lot in any given day. Drink gatorade (my doc just told me that this morning). It adds electrolytes and helps reduce the bodies reactions to all the changes (more blood, more fluid, heart palpatations etc)

You are totally fine and totally fortunate to have the symptoms reduced. I cannot even get myself up for church right now and I'm disgusted with myself but I am VERY dizzy, nauseaous and just down right feel sick. I am carrying twins so I know my HCG levels are enormous and that is probably the reason. My DH has his team's training this morning and he's out so I have to wait until later to get gatorade, ginger ale and orange juice (the oj is a craving).

So be well, relax and take the next two weeks for YOU!!!! Afterall, in another 7.5 months you will be sharing your life DAY AND NIGHT but

i'm in the UK so not sure if i can get gatorade over here but will look into it. glad it can fluctuate and as it goes (although i wasnt sick) i felt extremely sick today later on in the afternoon in the end!

we're not far apart at all, are we?! my due date is the 29th april...what about yours?

and congrats on the twins! thats wonderful news! (well i think it is!)

Hi Shantala...

Glad you're feeling more pregnant now... I have been really sick all day and very tired too. I've done pretty much nothing...

Gatorade is a drink with electrolytes in it (potassium) so whatever you can find with potassium since feeling m/s can turn one off to drinking as well as eating. The potassium keeps your body balanced...

I am due April 30th but with twins they are usually born the 37th week which would out me at Aug 9th... I have my 2nd u/s tomorrow morning and I am nervous once again... I do hope the babies are ok. We saw both HBs last Tues so I am hoping they are growing and healthy... but as it has been said... it is about surrender since we have no control - only God does... Speaking of that... I missed church today because I have felt soooooooo sick alllllllll day....
