FET Oct./Nov. Cycle Buddies

Hello ladies, just wondering if there's anyone out there going for FET in Oct/Sept looking for cycle buddies, it would be great to have buddies to share with. I don't get normal periods and am on birth control pills to get a period which should be around the beginning of Oct.

It sounds like we are on similar cycles. I am currently on estrogen injections and have a planned FET for Oct 10. THis will be my 1st so I am both excited and nervous. We had IVF scheduled for Sept and ended up only being able to do the retrieval b/c my husbands CF carrier test had not returned. My test came back positive a week before the retrieval date.
Do you have an expected transfer date? Will you start injections once you are done with the BCP?
Best of luck and I hope we can be cycle buddies for the next few weeks inlcuding the dreaded 2ww!

Hi Lots, thanks for your reply, I will be starting estrogen pills once AF comes. I don't have a date yet for the transfer but I think it will be around the 3rd week of October, now I'm just waiting. Having cycle buddies definitely help with the 2ww. I hope everything goes well. Keep me posted.

my wife is going to be strting her fet cyle this month. af came on thurs 20 she will begin lupron on day 21. this is our first fet cycle good luck to everyone if anyone has advice please feel free. we have 2 6 day blasts to transfer how about you

I am also doing an FET. This my first one after my first ivf cycle was cancelled. My transfer date is October 9th and I am so anxious. I need to relax. Good luck to all of you.

I wish I could provide you some advice Michael but it is also our 1st FET. Banana my transfer date is Oct 10! Are you taking injections right now? I am amazed at how many different medication protocols are used. I am currently on estrogen injections and will be adding progesterone on the 7th. I too had to cancel our 1st IVF last month so I am anxious to finally be doing something!

Lots of baby wishes, maybe we can keep in touch during this time. I'm on lupron injenctions right now and have been on them since the start of this cycle on September 30th. I'm also taking estrace through a pill twice a day. I start progesterone on the 4th. Why did you have to cancel your ivf? I had to cancel mine due to OHSS. I'm super anxious. I just want the date to be here now. And then we have the 2 week wait. I'm dreading that. How many embryos are you transferring?

Hi Michael, I also cannot offer any advice, my protocol is very different. I'm on BCP right now and will be starting Estrace on CD1 and I only had to take one lupron shot last week. What I can tell you is that the FET cycle is much easier than the fresh one.

Banana, you and lots are closer in dates than I am, mine will probably be a week or two later (of course depending on my lining). I guess now we just have to wait for the date.

I spoke with a nurse today, they told me I have (7) 8-cell and (1) 7-cell one, what about you guys?

I would love to join your thread, though I think I may be way behind. My IVF transfer just got canceled due to OHSS. I was devastated. I knew I was sick but I soooo wanted to continue. I do have 9 5-day blasts on ice and I am trying to be grateful for that. It took over a week to feel like I could get out of bed (pain, pain, pain) and also get over the emotional disappointment but I've finally been able to go to work today and yesterday. I won't start Lupron until mid Oct with transfer beginning of Nov (I think). Good luck to you all, I hope you lead the way to BFPs for me to follow. How long after cancellation did it take to get started for you? (feels like too long to for me)

Banana, I would love to have someone to go thru this process with. It definitely helps to have someone to go thru the emotional end of things. We have 6 embryos, plan on thawing 3, and hoping to transfer 2. I guess we won't know definites until the day of the transfer?? I feel like I have learned so much over the past 2 months. We had to cancel our 1st IVF after the retrieval b/c my CF test came back positive, my husbands test took 2.5 weeks to come back and thank god it came back negative! I also had a mild case of OHSS and they told me they would have cancelled my transfer anyhow. How severe was your OHSS? How many are you transferring?

Ksscott--Sorry to hear the news of the cancellation/OHSS but how great that you have 9 embryos! After my cancelled cycle I got my AF 1.5 wks later and immediately went for an us & bw to see baseline. Everything looked good and I was able to start the meds immediately. Good luck and keep me updated!

Hoping 4 baby--All of my embryos are frozen so we won't know more until they are thawed and hopefully will grow to blastocyte (day 5). Are you doing a frozed ET? Or did you just have your retrieval?

Hi ksscott, you're more than welcome to join our little thread, sorry about your cancellation, but ur not that far behind us, we can all still go it together.

Lots, I'm also doing a FET. I started the thread just for that not because I want to exclude anyone but because the protocols for FET are different from fresh cycles. I thought we'd be better able to compare notes (and feel each other's pain better).

Here's hoping this cycle be our last one.

hello can i join please our1st ivf failed last year i av only one frosty been for all my scans ad blood test this week and i should be goin in for fet any day now just waiting for the call nurses told me its 70% that it will survive the thaw its nerve wreking wishing all ov u lots of baby dust xx

Hi Michellexx and welcome, I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope that you have better luck this time. It seems like we're all just waiting for the day now. Just wondering how come you waited so long before trying again?

Another thought, does anyone of you have any kids yet or are you guys trying for the first one? And also which gender are you hoping for? Me, I don't have any yet, so boy or girl is all the same to me, I'll be just be thrilled to be a mommy.

Hey ladies,

Just had my first IVF-ICSI but no ET due to moderate OHSS. Went for US today and RE said I'm recovering very well. So I'm to wait for AF to arrive and start the estrogen pills, AND if all goes well (fingers, toes and what have you crossed) I should be able to have my first FET sometime in Oct. We have 6 frozen embies, hoping to thaw 2.

The disappointment from the cancelled ET was huge, so I'm not having too high expectations this time. Will be our first child if it succeeds.

Welcome Baobao, we're kinda in the same boat. I don't have a transfer date yet 'cause I'm waiting for AF to come but I think it will be sometime in October. This is one of the times that she couldn't come soon enough (when you need her to come she takes her time and when you don't want to see her at all she's right on time if not early, that B****). But lets all think positive. A little positive attitude goes a long way.
