+++ but inshock

Well I never expected to get this far. I'm 39 hubby 42, we've been trying for the last 16 years. Had countless iui's, 2 IVF, 1 fet and finally after a few years break another ivf. I tested positive on Monday, and scan booked for 8th september. I was feeling ok apart from sore boobs, and wind(sorry) also keep waking up and feeling really hungry. I got worried on Thursday, cause I started getting af type pains, hubby told me not to worry, and pain and twinges could happen. Being the first time I've ever got this far I wouldnt know. The nurses at the hospital have told me to rest and take it easy, was in bed all yesterday, didn't realise I'd be so stressed after getting a positive result. Cant believe how many positive results there have been this week Congratulations to you all Charlotte x

after 16yrs , if anyone deserves this is you!!! please try not to be stressed (easier said than done i know!) and enjoy the next 9 mths- 18yrs!! take care love hayley

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I've never seen my husband smile so much, he's walking round on cloud 9. I didn't realize I was married to such a good cook, he made me a lovely meal on Saturday. I've not really been feeling sick yet, just feel really hungry at weird times. One of the first symptoms I had was waking up at 3am, absolutely starving, wanting something like toast, but no bread in, and having a Large bowl of cerial(not my fav food) and dh coming down saying I'd woke him up with the crunching, and he was worried lol. My stomach looks and feels about 5 months and I dont usually, have such a big belly. Well I dont think so... Congratulations Bertie, Sharon and Michelle Whens have you got your scans? And what stage will they be at my scan I think is at 8 weeks Well of to walk my dog, get a little exercise Charlotte xx

wooooow, soooo pleased for you. after 6yrs (which has been long enough) for us, but 16yrs you deserve so much happiness. hope you have your feet up and glad hubbie looking after you! we are testing on the date of your scan, 8th sep, for 3rd icsi attempt so hope its a good day!!! lots of love, fi PS what type of dog do you have? we have a black lab called Charley (yep shes a girlie!)
