TO TEST OR NOT??

HI LADYS I NEED SOME ADVICE, i,M 8 DAYS INTO MY 2WW AND I AM THINKING ABOUT DOING A HPT AT THE WEEKEND I AM HANDING IN A SAMPLE TO THE HOSPITAL NEXT TUESDAY. I KNOW THEY SAY YOU SHOULDN'T BUT MY REASON, APART FROM BEING REALLY IMPATIENT IS I THINK I'D RATHER KNOW BEFORE I GET THAT CALL FROM THE HOSPITAL JUST IN CASE IT IS BAD NEWS.
THIS IS MY THIRD ATTEMPT AT IVF THE PREVIOUS 2 WERE CANCELLED DUE TO LOW RESPONSE TO THE DRUGS SO I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD FEEL ANYTHING AT THIS STAGE. ARE THERE ANY CLUES?
ALSO DOES ANYONE AGREE THE PESSARIES ARE FAR WORSE THAN TE INJECTIONS?

POAS is pure evil I have read WAY too many stories out here where they POAS the day of beta/hcg.....got bfn --- only to get BFP with official beta/hcg!!!!!!!

Just my 2 cents.......but you've already come this far.....just hang in there --- you are stronger than you think!

I did test before my blood test - I felt the same as you that I would rather have some idea of what to prepare myself for. I would always test in advance cos I hate surprises. I know everyone says don't but I really don't see why not as long as you keep an open mind and think that even if it is negative there is still a chance that it could positive later on.

I got the world's faintest line when I got pregnant after 5 attempts at IVF that was on about 9 after transfer - I then tested daily till proper test and the line did get a timy bit darker but I still wasn't really sure until the hospital confirmed it.

Anyway - just my opinion - please forgive my badness in tempting you! Vicky

Hi, please try to stay away from the evil HPT if you can.
Bloods are the only way to get an accurate result.

i know it's difficult byut try and stay away from testing ( unless its the same day)...HCG trigger shot can stay in your body for 17 days and give a neg result...there have been many on here who have stopped meds due to neg HTP ( home preg test) and they have had a beta 5 gdays later at blood test...please try and wait as it can bring heartache wheither pos or neg with worry!!!

THANKS FOR ALL YOU'RE ADVICE I REALLY APPRECIATE IT . I THINK I'LL GO WITH THE MAJORITY AND NOT TEST. I FEEL QUITE PREPARED NOW WHAT WILL BE WILL BE. MY PARTNER ALSO DOESN'T WANT ME TO HPT, ONLY THREE DAYS TO GO NOW. BECOMING OBSESSED WITH ALL POSS EARLY SIGNS ONLY PROBLEM WITH THAT IS MOST OF THE SIGNS ARE THE SAME AS PRE AF SYMPTOMS.
