¿IVF in Mexico, do they have donor eggs & a registry th

Post by arcadia »

I posted this also in the IVF page-arcadia

Hello I am trying to find out about IVF in Mexico and if they have donor eggs available and legal in Mexico, are there donor registries there? I will also post this under the egg donor topic page. Has anyone undergone IVF in Mexico and can you tell the rest of us about it, cost, safety, etc. I found an ad on craiglist.com that was asking for an egg donor in Guadalajara, so I wrote them to ask if they know anything about it, no response yet.

I am looking into the Fertility Institutes (Guadalajara, Los Angeles, and Los Vegas).
http://www.fertility-docs.com/spanish.phtml
They offer IVF for 40, 000 pesos =$4,000 USD.
I have visited Guadalajara before and its a fine city, we stayed in the wonderfull old hotel Frances, just off the plaza, built in 1610 for only $40 per night. I called the Fertilty Inst.'s U.S. 1-800 number but the U.S. clinics say they do not know what goes on in Guadalajara. I do not speak Spanish well enough to call there myself. Soon I will consider hiring someone to speak Spanish for me and call the Guadalajara clinic directly.
I have emailed some Dr.s in Mexico to ask for information but have rec'd no responses.

I have compiled a stack of IVF info, should I post it here or make a webpage out of it? Its all about IVF fertility tourism, prices, info.
Please - if you write back do it on the website here with messages or however, but don't email me, I never check that email address I gave in order to log in here.

P.S. Has everyone seen this webpage with all this info on IVF, its great:

IVF in Mexico

Post by CrisHanz »

Hello Arcadia,

I hope you are already pregnant, if not, I would suggest you to forget about getting someone to translate from spanish for you, IVF is hard enough to live through to add things on top of your treatment.

There is an IVF doctor in Guadalajara who was trained in the UK, very accessible and with expertise in Mini-IVF as well as standard IVF, look for his details on ivf.net (West Mexico Fertility) (http://www.ivf.net/ivf/west_mexico_fert ... 68-en.html)

Egg donation doesn't seem to be a problem in Mexico and there are some centers claiming to have egg banks... just contact this doctor and ask him directly.

Cris :D

Id like to thank everyone who has emailed me and wanting more information on my trip to Guadalajara and my experience with ivf. I have created a website with all the information you need...pictures of the clinics, doctore, prices etc. BTW, Dr.Steinberg who is a pioneer in ivf has been on the news and on shows like Dr. Phil latelly and we are very lucky to be able to work with him in Mexico for a fraction of the cost...please check it out and I hope to see some of you in Mexico soon.
