Here's my story:
Married for 4 years. Got pregnant one drunken night in 2005 which resulted in the birth of my son who is now 18 months old. Ds was 5 pounds at 39 weeks bc I had clots in my placenta -- could have turned out horrifically and he could have died in utero at any time. Thank God he squeaked through. I shake when I think of what could have happened.
Started TTC when he was 9m old. Got pregnant after 2m only to M/C at 11 weeks (after we had established cardiac activity). They did an analysis on the baby who was chromosomally normal so we were told "these things happen" and wait one cycle and TTC again. We did and got a BFP that month. Yay! It was short lived and I had a CP. Went to see my OB who didn't give my hx much thought and said to TTC again. Dh and I decided we weren't happy with my OB's go-with-the-flow attitude so we sought a high risk OB in NYC. I met with him and he put me on lovenox (thrombophilia profile only had a couple slight elevations that on their own would be nothing but given my hx, they might be something), 2 mg folic acid, prometrium and prenatal. We waited one cycle and TTC again. BFP! Had another CP earlier this month. I met with an RE in Manhattan yesterday who thinks I'm text book for an autoimmune disorder -- basically my body is getting more and more efficient of attacking the embryos and making me miscarry.
Dh and I are going to have blood work done in a couple weeks (to determine what is wrong with me/him) and then hopefully move onto IVF with CGH and possible IVIG (pending blood tests).
I'm looking forward to talking with all you ladies and getting to know you. I hope there are a million sticky babies in our future.
