Hi, there! I am just a little bit behind you. I am starting Lupron on Nov 6th! We just got the thumbs up from our doctor on Friday to start our first IVF cycle. I am nervous as I don't know what to expect, but with a couple of failed IUI's behind us, I guess I am getting the hang of this roller coaster! :)

When is you ER scheduled?
Me - 40; DH - 42
2 IUI's-BFN
1st IVF: BFP

Only 1 frozen to transfer - praying for another miracle!!!

4ourbaby & tina0-
I started my Lupron injections on 10/27, so we're all right around each other! I'm still waiting on AF to arrive...do you know if Lupron might delay the start of a cycle?

Hi there, dancinnancy! Looks like we are all in the same timeframe! I don't know about Lupron delaying anything. My doctor's office told me that AF would probably be very light. Of course, this is my first IVF cycle so I am still kind of clueless. All I know is that box of meds was scary!!! I am used to the Follistim and Menopur from my IUI cycles, but there was a load of other stuff! :o

Anyway, I am really hoping this works for us!! :)

Hi Guys!

I am glad that we are all around the same time. As far as I know, Lupron doesn't delay anything. It just helps to suppress things and prevent premature ovulation.

tinaO...I had one period on Lupron and it was the best period I ever had! It was very light and I didn't have a single cramp! So I hope it goes as well for you.

The only thing I really notice with Lupron is that I swell...especially in my hands and face. Do any of you exprience that as well?

dancinnancy...I'm still waiting for AF to arrive also. Isn't it strange how we have spent countless months hoping that AF wouldn't come and now we can't wait for it because it means we get to move forward?

Anyway, it is really nice to meet you both. I look forward to sharing our experiences together!

tinaO-
I hear ya on the box o' meds! I had them shipped to my parents' house because I didn't want to take a day off of work to sit there and wait for the shipment. When I saw the box for the first time I could hardly believe my eyes!

Hi Girls! Welcome Stephanievt97! I'm just checking in to see how everyone is feeling. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. I think I go back to the doctor on Day 3 of my cycle to hopefully start stimulation meds.

My husband and I are going away for two nights...it's our 5 year anniversary :) So we are going to try to relax and have fun and not worry about things for a just a bit.

I hope everyone is feeling well!

Hi Folks!
Can I join in? I just did my first Lupron injection today. I am glad that is over with as I was afraid of the needle. This is my first IVF cycle and we are doing ICSI as well. I don't think this month can go by quickly enough!
Good luck to everyone!

Hi itsgottawork!

Of course you can join in! The more the merrier! You'll get used to the Lupron pretty quickly. It's not so bad.

This is our 2nd IVF. We did ICSI with the first one. Keep in touch so we can compare notes and get through this together!

4ourbaby,
Thanks for the welcoming! Are you going to be doing ICSI with this cycle as well? It doesn't sound like we will have much of an option as there we have some motility issues.
Happy 5 year anniversary!!! I hope you have lots of fun and get plenty of rest.
I seem to be having some sleep issues lately and would love to get a few nights away. I usually can sleep any where and have no problems sleeping. But, this last week has been rough. I think I got so paranoid about the first blood test and injection. I am hoping that must be it.
tina0- did you start Lupron yesterday? I am excited to know someone else is starting their first IVF cycle on the same day. How are you handling Thanksgiving plans? Does your protocol have you at ER possibly that weekend? Only our moms know we are doing this so the planning for us has been a little stressful.
dancinnancy and stephanievt97- Good luck getting AF. It is crazy to type that on a board like this. I keep hoping, maybe we'll all have just one more for a really long time! And a light one at that!
Good luck to all. I am happy to have found this site! :)

I hope I can join you guys. I started Lupron on Oct 30 but AF still has not arrived. I think the lupron can delay it a little.
