Low BETA success stories...?

Post by talisen_cat »

Hi everyone,

I had a beta of 2 at 7 days past a 6 day transfer. My progesterone was 55.

Has anyone had a miracle after a low beta like this?

Being realistic know that it is too low for any hope but I am clutching at straws. I am at the point where I think we have to call it a day and look to a future with out children. It is breaking my heart.
Do you want see the man in charge or the women who knows what's going on?

To be realistic a beta of at least 5 is considered pregnant, but even that # is very low. My clinic wants anything over 100 for the first beta. Keep trying if you can afford to. I saw a woman on this board who finally got a BFP after 9 attempts. She didn't give up and maybe you should look into a different clinic. Just keep trying and don't give up hope. Good luck!

Hi talisen, I am so sorry about your number, at my clinic this is counted as a negative/ bio-chemical, where implantation occured but then never progressed. I hope you are able to carry on as at least you now know you can get pregnant, we all just need to keep trying.

All the best to you.

Hi talisen, I'm so sorry to hear about your number. Are you going in for a retest? A friend of mine finally got pregnant after about 8 IUIs/IVFs and her first beta was only 77 and now she's in her 11th week! Just hang in there and know that we're all here for you! Big hugs!!

Just curious, how come they took the beta at 7 days? Was it because it was a 6 day transfer?? Just curious, I would would think that would be early, but maybe that is normal after a longer transfer. Just curious.

kholt- they said that they can get a pretty good idea by then what's happening after a 5 or six day transfer.

I've seen a couple of pregnancies work out like that. Rare, but it can happen.

Good luck.
