Hi everyone, what a fab site :)

Im 32 and hubby is 34, sorry DH is 34, we have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years, and have very recently gone for tests. DH result was 99% abnormalities. I havent got my results yet (next thursday), everything is crossed that mine are good!

I have so many questions and lots of them have already been answered by reading all your posts.

We are off to see the doctor next week, and then i guess we will be going down the ICSI road - I know there will be heartache ahead but i just can't wait to start trying, we should have got checked out much earlier, but you never think its going to happen to you i guess!

Anyway just wanted to say hello and CONGRATULATIONS to all those who have recently had their wonderful news

Love Wendy xx

[Edited by wendy4 on 05-Sep-03 11:33]

HI Wendy

Welcome to the site. You'll find lots of people here who can answer just about any question you can think of, so just ask away. Chances are one of us will have done it, tried it or bought the t-shirt!

I'm 31 and I've been trying for about 4 years now, like you, left it this long because you don't ever think you'll have a 'problem'. I'm in the middle of my second IVF attempt. Injections - what fun!

Good luck with your results and the appointment next week. The most frustrating thing about IVF is how long it takes to get going. So keep persevering and pestering the doctors until you get in the system and then once you start tmt we will all be here for you!

love nikola.xx

Hi Wendy, and welcome!

My dh and I face male factor as well, and did ICSI. I am on the last days on my 2WW of my first cycle, so I don't yet know the results.

I hope your doctors appointment goes well tomorrow and though I hope there isn't heartache in your future, I do know that there will be plenty of anxitey and frustration and that you have found the right spot and the right people to help you get through it all.

Good luck and let us know of your progress.

Hi Wendy. I am on my first IVF/ICSI cycle with male factor. It has been a rollercoaster ride. Many ups and downs, but with each bit of bad news, come options to overcome them. I'm 32 as well, and my doctor's office considers that quite young in the IVF process and has great hope due to my "young" age. They also have a better success rate with "male factor" ivf than any other problems. I had my first scan today to check on my follicles, so far so good. I'll have my EC either Monday or Tuesday and then the ET a few days later. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask.

Good Luck
Val

Val
Congrats on the lovely little follicles. Good luck on Monday and the EC. The morning of my EC, I found that I was more nervous about the proceedure than I thought. Just in case that happens to you don't worry about it - it's really no sweat. I'm not the best medical proceedure person, but it's really a breeze.

Good Luck!

Wendy,
welcome aboard & good luck with your appointment.
We also have male factor & did ICSI in May/june, unfortuantly I got OHSS (dont worry as this is not common) so I did not have Embryos put back,
We have 9 frosties(frozen embryos) and are doing a FET(frozen embryo transfer) at the mo.

Have a good weekend

Sarah
xx

Hi Wendy,

Welcome to this wonderful site. My sister found this site for me in July as I'd really hit rock bottom with this painful, heartbreaking rollercoaster that so many people seem to be on, but you always think it's only happening to you. That's what makes this site so wonderful!

I'm on the dreaded 2WW on my first IVF cycle and test on Thursday 11th, so am wishing the days away big time!

Wishing you loads of luck with your results on Thursday - here's hoping that we both get wonderful news.

Loads of love,

Jo
xx
