10dp3dt - Sudden Change in Symptoms

Post by kellym »

Hi!
As you can see I've been through 7 IVF attempts before this current one. Up until yesterday I was very optimistic and thought this time it had worked. This time I had symptoms that I only experienced during my chemical pregnancies in the past so I figured that implantation had occurred and I was on my way to a happy 9 months!
Then I woke up this morning and my sore bbs were gone and some AF-like cramps started. Now I wonder whether AF will arrive on Monday as she usually does when I get a BFN.
Can anyone explain to me why my symptoms would change so suddenly? Is the only explanation another chemical pregnancy?
I know progesterone mimics pregnancy/AF symptoms but why would the symptoms suddenly change when my progesterone was remaining the same (suppositories 3x daily)?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated!
7 IVF cycles - 2 chemicals, 5 BFN
1 FET cycle - BFN
9th IVF cycle - BFP!! Twins born Sept 18/08
Trying again May 2010!!!

Those suppositories are not your only source of progesterone.

But there is no way to tell what is going on from the information you have. You'll have to wait for the pregnancy test.

kelly,

i just had my 2nd chemical pregnancy, from my 2nd IVF cycle. i lost a few telltale signs during both when my beta started to drop....the heartburn and the nausea. i always had the sore bbs, tiredness, and mild cramps (actually bad cramps with my first).

i want to say i'm praying for you!!! it's tough to go through this. i am wondering...did your doctor do any bloodwork or anything after your chem pregnancies to try to figure out why it happened? i've asked this on a few posts, and i'm not sure if you already replied. i was thinking that there has to be some reason that it happened twice in a row for me.

best of luck!!!

Hi Kelly god you have been through the mill but dont give up yet. I felt exactly like that cramping no sore boobs and I was convinced that AF was coming. For me the cramping was good as it has worked. Honestly the embryo is so tiny that you dont feel anything. The cramps were not as strong but honestly I did not feel pregnant. Even now the only feeling I have is sore boobs and at that it is not all the time so dont worry too much I know the suspense is awful but try and stay positive. I even took a pregnancy test and it was negative so really it is not over until it is over.

I am praying for you and sending you loads of positive vibes and baby dust.
