Gestational Diabetes in twin pregnancy

hey everyone. Today my doctor told me i have Gestational Diabetes. i know its not such a big deal if i watch what i eat and control my sugar level. did anyone have Gestational Diabetes? if yes can you tell me what you had to do or eat?
i know that i have been eating too much sweets the last 2 month and thats why i probably have Gestational Diabetes now.

Hi there,
Yes, watch your diet. In my case, it did cause breathing problems to the baby after the c-section but he was intubated right away and after 4 days, he was free. He spent a total of 9 days in a special care unit. Just be aware that this could happen because in these cases, baby gets too much glucose, gets too big too soon and the placenta stops providing the nutrients needed for the lung development. My baby needed some surfactant as well. He is doing fine now. This is just for your info.
