I just had 3 embryos put in yesterday, new years eve. Two were great quality, one was a stinker. Something in me wants the long-shot to take, just to prove that you should never count an embryo out.
I would love to hear from other women who have just had their ET...
Anyway, I'm wondering if I should not go for a walk. I realize now heavylifting or say, jumping around, but how about a nice two mile walk? I can go slow enough that I don't raise my core body temperature...
I did nothing, sat in front of the television, all day yesterday, and I feel like blood flow might help me.
Me: 37 DH:40 TTC since 2005. First IVF cycle canceled. 2nd cycle BFP 1/11. DS arrived late 2008. 3rd cycle, U/s 3/7. Devastated. NO fetal pole or HB.
if you feel up to a walk,i would say go for it,but my opinion is 2 miles might be a bit much, just go slow and easy..I hope u get your BFP..
Much love,Nicola

Had had 3 FET done 11/28. I'm at my week 9. I asked my OB/GYN if I could start walking. He gave me a look that said absolutely not!
He also gave me an article that his collegue wrote that was posted in the "Contemporary OB/GYN" newsline: EXERCISE AND IVF MAY NOT MIX.
"More specifically, women who engaged in regular cardiovascular activity had a 30% lower chance of having a live birth (OR 0.7; CI 0.6-9) than women who were sedentary. Even walking was potentially detrimental" ... as the article goes on.

Hi Lostgirl,
Just wanted to congratulate you on your BFP on January 11th!!
I am on the 2ww,..........test on Jan 25th.
My Doctor (in Canada) said to relax on the day of transfer - and pretty much return to a normal life right away!!! So if you feel like walking - my doctor would say go for it! ( I know your question is a bit old as you have now a BFP - but for other readers i thought i would post.
I am a very active person usually, but during my two week wait, I relaxed at home on the couch a lot. Every weekend day I took a nap. I ate well, and just tried to watch movies and read. The day of embryo transfer I seriously chilled. Same with the day after: 3 movies in one day! Third day I went to work, but I sat at my desk most of the day and did NO extra walking and avoided stairs. If there was an elevator I took it (I'm usually the opposite!). I also picked nothing up that was close to 10 pounds, and held myself back from cleaning the house (something I like to do when I'm nervous!). I let my dh do it all. And thankfully he was around to do it.
Any my point is I chilled, and that ended up working for me. If I do IVF again, I'll stick to the same plan.

Okay - I did something really dumb!!! I am just so impatient - - we went out yesterday and bought a pregnancy test.
Well it came out NOT PREGNANT. Now my DH is convinced that we are not even though our Beta is not until Friday. I am clinging on the hope that we were just way too early to test, however he has already decided it did not work.Has anyone else done this?? Anyone surprised by a BFP after a neg preg test???
I hear you. I, too, wanted so much to purchase a pregnancy test and do one during my two week wait but the staff at the IVF clinic told my DH and I at the beginning that this is something that they DID NOT want us to do because it is in it's earliest stages, the only way they could tell is by doing two blood draw. One would be the control. Two days later compared with the second blood draw and they are looking for the rise in hormone level.
Hope everything is going well for you.
