I cant believe what an idiot i was...took buserelin and heparin this morning.did the buserelin first and after i had completed the heparin i realised that i had STUPIDLY used the same syringe for both shots....have i totally messed up??...GOD i feel so stupid, ive been crying ever since...am beginning to feel really overwhelmed with all these different shots.
I know these shots can be very overwelming. Don't beat yourself up over it. It is just a sanitary precaution to use diiferent needles. Just let your RE know, but no need to get too worried over it. Maybe you should type up a little checklist. I forget sometimes to do something when Iget really nervous or stressed. Make yourself check off each step and just let that be a part of your routine. Can't hurt.
I agree. Don't get too nervous over this. Let your RE know for a piece of mind, but try to relax and think that this cycle is your cycle. Baby dust!

This is no big deal at all. You most likely did not hurt anything. You use different syringes to prevent infection or bad reactions between the meds(some meds just don't mix -heparin is one of them but there was probably only a trace amount left in the syringe). You could probably do the same thing over & over again without problems BUT there's no need to test that theory.
Good Luck on your cycle & stay positive!

mia.esperanza,2ndtimer...thanks so much for your replies,i saw my RE today as i've been having trouble drawing up my menopur and she was not too concerned by the mix up thank God,...something else bothered me today though, when i was given my menopur they insisted that i take it in the evenings ...but i've been having trouble drawing it up and went to the clinic today around 2:00pm and went through the process a couple of times with the nurse..she also offered to have me come to the clinic every morning so she can do the shot if i wanted,i asked if it wasn't supposed to be a pm shot as opposed to an am one...he response was ideally it should be done at night but she didnt see a problem doing it the morning...i for one am concerned as i've already done 3 days of 10:30pm shots to now go to 2:00pm on day 4 and 11:30am on day 5,6,7,and 8 ..she said i should be more comfortable by the time weekend rolls around to do them on my own
i guess i'm kinda bothered by this because i got the impression that everything was so precisely timed...what do u ladies think?
None of it is quite as precise as they make it out to be EXCEPT the HCG trigger shot. That one needs to be taken exactly when they tell you. Otherwise, relax -stress isn't good for you
