Down reg bleeding

Post by lolajones »

Hi Everyone

I know I should be a veteran of all things ivf by now as this is 5th go but its been over 2 years since my last fresh cycle and I can't remember what it was like!

I started down reg on 18th Jan, got af 25th jan. AF usually last 4 days but I am still spotting after 10 days. Its not much but is not stopping. Had my down reg scan last friday (small cyst otherwise fine) and started stimms today.
Is this normal? Is my cycle doomed???
Any help would be fantastic as I can't get hold of my fertility clinic

Thanks chicas

Lola

Hey Lola!

Sorry I can't remember enough to answer your question (frankly I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning!) but wanted to wish you the best of luck for this cycle.

As for the cycle being doomed - come, come - you're an intellegent woman!!! You know that's just the hormones talking!!!

You say you had a scan Friday - which means you had already been bleeding for 7 days - 3 days longer than usual. However the clinic didn't think that was a problem else they wouldn't suggest you start the stims. I can't see that they would let you proceed unless they felt everything was ok so I say "sod off hormones" and "hello BFP!"

Oh, and with regards to the cyst, yes I had one discovered during my first IVF. I panicked and felt sure it was gonna ruin my chances. However it was mentioned once and then never again. Well, not until after I had Charlie when during an "examination" they said "did you know you had a cyst!"

Sorry - waffling - I think (!) what I'm trying to say is "welcome back to the rocky rollercoaster ride!!" It's those ups and downs that are sent to try us, but remember the goal and try and stay positive.

Keeping those fingers crossed for you

Hello lovely Cla!

So good to hear from you! Thanks for replying.
Bleeding has now stopped and back on track... I tell you, I think they've put a bit of prozac california sunshine in my puragon - I'm on a high. But we all know what comes after one of those....

So how're you? How's Charlie?? I can't believe how quickly time has passed since your bfp.

Take care sweetie

Love, lola

Jen babes - thank you sweetie.
I always keep an eye on you and the phoenix ladies. I know you have been having a tough time of it lately - I think you are an amazingly brave lady and despite all the things you could be negative about, you always seem positive and up beat - you are great!
Yes, so this time for us both eh - a 9 month bfp and no messing about!
You deserve it and I believe that lady karma will finally get her act together and do the right thing.

You were right too, scan was fine, all seems to be going to plan at the moment, small steps!

Take care honey

Hey Lola!

Just wanted to say I'm glad she went away in the end. And that the follie scan went well!

Prozac California style sounds good to me! Whatever helps!!!

Charlie is good, ta! 16 months and a real bundle of energy. Actually I think he's gonna be a real bruiser! Nothing like quiet ole me (ha-ha!)

Keep smiling!
