Finally BFP after 8+ years TTC - questions

I can't believe I actually have a question to post on this board! After 8+ years TTC, DH and I are finally pregnant! We just found out yesterday so we are cautiously optimistic. I have spent so much time researching HOW to get pregnant but have no clue what to do next now that it's happened. I hope you ladies can help me with these questions:

How often does your RE check betas? Mine is a week apart.

Is there such as thing as too high of a beta? My first is 2864, we transferred one 8 cell embryo and one hatching blastocyst.

If you did IVF, how do you count how many weeks you are - from the LMP or ER or ET?

oh my gosh - I don't even have an OB/GYN. What should we know/ask when we set up an appointment?

First of all congrats to you on your pregnancy!! It is indeed very exciting!! My betas were checked 3-4 times in all. Couple of times at my gynae's office, I cheated & got an earlier blood test done. And then 2 times at the fertility center. By betas were certainly high [see below]. You should get a gynae soon, so any questions etc, you can direct to him/her. You can calculate due date both ways: my fert center did it from ET time & gynae did it from LMP [it made a diff of 2 days only]. So if your last period was on 20th Nov, you would be 3 months pregnant on Feb 20. Good Luck to you!!
