Searching for Someone with Similar Experience

Post by SaraAnne »

I'm a young college student from Michigan interested in the egg donation process. I'm looking for someone who is in a similar situation to tell me about their experience and what they went through. Does the process about their expereience and what they went through. Does the process hurt? Would I have to miss classes to have it done? What are some long term side effects? Do certain agencies compensate more for certain characteristics?

hi i was a donor last year and am due to do another course i found it was easy all you have to do is ave some blood tests just to make sure all is well and talk things over and then you have your meds via a needle that you have to inject yourslef this will last for a few weeks til you are injecting yourself three times aday and just regular scans to see how you are doing then you go in have the eggs removed and then sent home it all takes about an hour and then you have to rest for the rest of the day there is slight pain just like a period pain but apart form that thats it trust me if it was painfull i would not be doing my second go of giving my eggs.

All the hospitals will pay is your petrol parking depends if it private or not
i gave mine to the NHS its not for the money if you are thinking you get paid loads you DONT
i was just happy that first time round 17 good eggs were taken and some used that day for three ladies who are due to have there babies in march but the benefits you get out of it all is the knowing that you have given the chance of a life time for someone who you dont no can have a child they have wanted to have for so long it the last option a woman has to have a baby IF YOU GO A HEAD AND BE A DONOR GOOD LUCK IT WORTH IT
