Question for Ghost - should i be concerned? (pg ment)

Post by goosemis »

Ghost - in your research have you ever come across unusually high HCG levels that led to a molar pregnancy? Is that a possibility if one does IVF? I am 5 weeks 4 days. My 1st beta on 2/4 at 15dpt was 2864. My 2nd beta today 2/11 at 22dpt is 27800. I know I should be happy about strong numbers but could HCG levels be TOO high?

Hmmm... How many did they transfer?

I have never seen a molar pregnancy at my clinic, but they certainly happen. Every time we get a patient with record high hCG, we start thinking maybe it's molar. So far, all false alarms.

Although yours is high, I've seen higher hCG on day 15. I don't recall how high I've seen it at 5.6 weeks.

Your ultrasound is coming soon. That should resolve it.

Best of luck.
