POAS ?

Post by Marin »

If you are confident that the trigger is out of your system.... and you get a + POAS, is a positive always a positive?

Here is the situation.... Thursday Day 12 I tested BFN- so I knew the trigger was gone. Saturday, BFP. Sunday BFN (with a different brand of test). Can I assume the Sat test is true and that maybe brand #2 is less sensitive than brand #1 or could a positive test result be questionable?

Anyone know?

Its hard to say. If you had a positive after a negative then I think its probably not your trigger shot making it positive. If it has gone from pos to neg then it may have been a chemical, or like you said, a different sensitivity on the test.
The waiting is hard, I remember how aggonizing it was and drove myself crazy peeing on sticks. Only a few more days and you'll know for sure.
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out. Wishing you BFP!

Sounds reasonable. But those HPTs are not all that reliable in these early days. A positive is usually a positive, but a negative is just a ??????

Marin,

I was getting BFNs and barely there positives on CONFIRM brand and strong positives on FRED, so I think it really does depend on the sensitivity of your test. I would try to stick to the same brand. And my beta was 250 and the Confirm brand (which supposed to measure 25) was barely showing it right up until the day of my beta! I was convinced it was another chemical but turned out not to be.

Good luck

Dexter- question for you...I am in the 2ww and I see your beta was 15dpo - is dpo when talking IVF days after your trigger shot or retreival?

My bloodtest is not until March 10th and that is 18 days!! I cannot wait that long but do not want to POAS too early...when do you think it's reasonable to POAS?
Hcg trigger - 3am Tues night/Wed morning I guess 2/19 - 2/20
e/r - 2/21
e/t - 2/24 2 3 days 8 cell and a 9 cell

Thanks !!
