I'm new. My story.

Post by Yellow »

In 2004 after about 2 years TTC, I learned I was pregnant, and five days later I learned it was ectopic. I had surgery to remove the left tube because it had ruptured. The surgeon also discovered my other tube was blocked. The doctors said IVF was our best option.

In 2005 we started our first IVF cycle, 2 embryos transferred -- BFP, one healthy heartbeat. At 6 weeks I had intense pain in my right side and I was bleeding. Ultrasound showed another sac in my right tube! Unbelievable.

Plus there was a "large bleed" in my uterine lining. The first ob/gyn said there was a 50% chance I'd miscarry the pregnancy in my uterus and I should consider terminating it. The second doctor said we should wait and see. I had surgery to remove my right tube and the pregnancy in it. The next morning we had an ultrasound to check on the baby that landed in the right place. Perfectly healthy heartbeat! I can't describe the relief.

Over the next weeks the bleed got smaller. That wasn't the last of the excitement. My little fighter was born 5 weeks early, but all that's behind us and now she's an amazing little girl.

In February we tried our 2nd IVF. BFN. I took the news a lot harder than I thought I would. I want another baby. I am so grateful for the sweetie I have. I love being a mom more that I thought I would, and I wish my family could grow.

We are about to start cycle #3. I'm excited. I'm nervous.

This board sounds so supportive. I'm thankful I found it. Thanks to everyone who made it this far. Thanks for reading my story.

I think my next cycle will be in April/May. I'd love some cycle buddies.

You are so fortunate to have your daughter. I hope this cycle works out for you! I will be doing a FET around the same time.
