Had embryo transfer yesterday and this evening I have found a tiny amount of blood. Has anyone else had this or knows anything about it. I never had this before with either my fresh or frozen cycles. Bit concerned.
Jordan

Hi Jordan,

Its most likely a result of the egg collection. They usually make a small (or minute may be a better description - I don't want to get you worried) hole in the roof of your uterus to get to your ovaries and if they had difficulty locating yours, perhaps they had to make more than one per side.

They also potentially could have dislodged some lining with the IVF catheter at e/t.

Either way, I can't see it being a biggy if its only a tiny amount, but like Beck says, if you're worried then its best to call the clinic.

Good Luck

Fiona

Thanks to you both for your reassurance. Thinking about it I probably over reacted as there has been nothing since. It was more like a few pinkish spots in the mucus - sorry to be crude. Hubby said he thinks it could be because of ec as I was under for approx 40 mins because they had difficulty finding my ovaries and others were having to press down on my abdomen to get them in position.
Jordan.XXX
