Discussion forum for those who had completed their IVF treatments without a successful outcome and are seeking other options such as adoption, surrogacy etc.
Hi all-
DH and I have been ttc for nearly 4 years, and to be honest, we always considered adoption as well... we just thought we'd have a bio child as well. Now that our fertility rollercoaster ride isn't ending the way we expected, we're considering other options like foster care and adoption.
I'm hoping someone in Massachusetts can recommend a reputable agency? I don't want to shell out nearly $25k and then have hidden costs and feel like we're so financially committed that we have to keep paying & paying. I want an upfront agency that will work with us thru every step of the process.
Thanks in advance for the info. And best of luck to everyone who may be making this decision as well! We will be parents one way or another.
it doesnt cost any money to be a foster parent.
just call your placment worker for your area andd they will get you started. good foster homes a very hard to find.
i was a foster child and now we are foster parents. we have adopted 6 of our foster children.
some times it is hard but when you get that real hug it is amazing. if you would like i can send you some stuff on it.
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!
Thanks for the feedback. Like i said, we've definitely considered foster care. It's still an option but I wanted to see what others think about agencies in the area.
It is good to have an adoption. I too adopted a baby the time I can't have my own. Many children out there carve for a love of a mother and we too desperately want a child. So why not adopt a baby. But is it very great to have your own right?
