Question Ghost or Anyone

Post by Nadia123 »

Hi,

I'm in a middle of an IVF cycle and I just learned that there might be a problem locating my left ovary. Since I'm in need of every single egg that I can produce (I'm not producing that much) do you have any idea of a type of massage that I can have done to move the ovary back into position to enable the doctor to have access to it?

Thanks,
Nadia

I dont know of a tech that can help drop or move your ovary back into position, but I do know that if it doesnt fall back into place they can always do a lap to get your eggs, so dont worry too much about not getting to the follies on both sides.

There also can be some reasons why its moved its position. Adhesions, or mild endo. The only way to check for either is a lap.

Good luck!

I had the exact same problem... My left ovary was always hiding. As my stimulation went on the left ovary finally got big enough that they could see it; however, after my egg retrieval my doctor did say he had to "work at it" to get it positioned for the retrieval. I did not have to have the eggs removed laproscopically, but I was very sore for several days afterward. I tell you this not to scare you, but simply to let you know what to expect. Perhaps you will have the same result I did... My left ovary was not as large or as fruitful, but my right ovary more than made up for it. I hope this helps.
