With my last transfer, my Dr. never told me to take prenatal vitamins. I never really thought about it, until I was talking to an aquaintance who just had a frozen transfer last week too, and she told me that her Dr. is having her take them. So I went and bought some, because I figured it couldnt' hurt!
So......I was wondering if taking them increases the chance of the embryos sticking or not......or if it's ONLY for good measure, in case they DO work. Anyone know???
I know I'm asking lots of silly questions. I guess during this 2ww, I keep having all these things running through my mind!
MyBoyParker - These aren't silly questions, we all have them and the ladies (and some men) on this forum have been great with the help and support. I'm not sure that the PNV helps the implant, but the amino acid in the vitamin is one of the important parts, and that's actually for the pregnancy. If you haven't already, I'd start taking them...for good measure Good luck to you during the crazy 2ww !!
I don't think there is evidence that PNV help embies stick, but most docs recommend that all women who are sexually active with any possibility of conception should be on PNV. The folic acid in PNV has been shown to decrease the rates of neural tube defects.
