My insurance doesn't cover so my dr. said that I don't have to get an ultrasound to check my lining before the transfer b/c of the way I've responded to drugs in the past has been fine every time. I've been on 2mg of estrace 2 times a day and will be for 15 days before the transfer. . . does this sound like enough to have a good lining? I am 30 years old and I am unexplained infertility. Should I just go with the FET or should I pay for the ultrasound out of pocket just to be sure of my lining.
my other question is whether I should transfer 1 or 2 embryos. I lost my twins at 20 weeks b/c of IC but I will be having a transabdominal cerclage (TAC) this time. The drs who do the TAC say that it will hold twins no problem. I want to have the best chance of success with the FET but I also don't want to risk anything. My IVF dr. thinks I should transfer just 1.
thanks for any input
Many clinics use that much Estrace. Mine uses more, but I don't know if the difference matters. Your doc knows his protocol, I assume.
How many to transfer is always a big question.
How would you feel if you had twins? They have a little more risk. Is that acceptable to you? How would you feel raising twins? I don't need to know, you just need to ask yourself these questions. Also, consider your clinics implantation rate in your age group. How likely is live birth with just one transferred? How much does it improve with two? How many twins do they get with two transferred?
If their implantation rate with FET is high, say over 30 or 40%, then I'd transfer just one. Otherwise maybe two. Just my opinion, based on how I'd feel about having twins.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
