Beta tomorrow - question

I had my ET on 8/7. It was a 3 day transfer with 2 8 celled embryos. The doctor said they looked good. My beta is tomorrow. Of course I couldn't wait so I POAS this morning and got a BFN. Should I give up hope. Feeling very hopeless right now. Anyone got a BFP after lots of BFNs?

When is your Beta scheduled for? Most clinics wait 12-14 days before testing since that is when there should be a definite HCG level showing up. Remember most tests only detect between 25-50 and you could still be very low yet. Embryos can implant anywhere from 6-10 days... so there is still some time... but you might want to be cautiously optimistic. I don't want to lie to you... but I don't want you to think all hope is lost either. My beta is 8-23 and my ET was 8-11. So far I am HPT Neg too but I plan to test again either Tues or Wed morning (softens the blow a little by testing before Beta).

Check online to see what your test detects the levels of. Also, there are a few that detect very low amounts, so you may want to try a different kind tomorrow AM.

I got a BFN on days 9,10 and 11...BFP on day 12

Last year I tested HPT (or POAS) 12 days post 2days embryos and it was a BFN...that same day I tested my beta and it was a BFP...next week we went to the U/S....TWINS!!!!
So after taht I decide never to test again!!!!

Like most of you I have a ton of books on IVF and infertility and they definitely say resist the urge to test... because beta is the best test.
Last cycle when I was positive my HCG on 12dp5dt was high 90's, so if it doubles about every two days, and most tests detect at 50... you may not show positive on HPTs. You figure it would be about 40 something 10dp5dt maybe... and I too was having twins. Sadly I had m/c later, but once those numbers started... they started climbing. Just food for thought.
