ghost ivf nurse FSH number

Post by NY4thtry »

I just came off a failed IVF cycle. I had my day 3 testing and my FSH was 13.2 with estrodial of 39. The highest FSH i have ever had was 9.8 ... but mostly they were around 6.7 - 7.2 etc.

Have you ever sen fsh make this kind of jump? what does it mean?

13.2 is definitely elevated, and pretty typical at age 40. It indicates decreased ovarian reserve, and therefore a decreased likelihood of getting good eggs and embryos in a future cycle, when compared to a patient with low FSH. Yes, it can rise rapidly, especially in the late 30s and early 40s, and the general trend is upwards.

We get patients with FSH like that all the time. It hurts their chances, but some still succeed. We had one succeed (live birth) with FSH several times that high.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

I agree with Ghost
I am an infertility nurse and I work in a major IVF facility. I am willing to answer questions and give guidance, however, since I am not treating you, only your physician can give you the most accurate information.
