Any Ladies from GA here?

Post by Babysoft »

Hello Ladies,

I'm just wondering if anyone here is from GA. I read a thread of NY women and thought it was a great idea. Just wondering if there anyone else out there!

OMG Dakota....I can't believe you live in Gwinnett. I live in Alpharetta, Fulton County. We are on the Feb moms thread together. So which clinic did you go to and what ob are you seeing. I have a current ob, but she is preggors as well and she won't be able to deliver my baby so I'm thinking of changing after my u/s on the 4th.

Small world babysoft!!!
I went to RBA. I started at GRS a few years ago and we were there for a little while, but DH had a hard time with the Dr so we switched to RBA and I loved everyone there.

My OBGYN is Dr Entrekin w/ Atlanta Gyn & OB. They have two offices, but I think it is way too far for you. I've been going to Dr E since I moved to GA 7 years ago. I love her and most of my friends have gone to her and had their kids with that practice. I have one friend who drove all the way from Hoschton to see Dr E. I am excited to try out the brand new maternity facitilty at Dekalb Med. I wasnt too thrilled when I found out that that is where they deliver, but I've done alot of research and it seems that they are ranked pretty high.

One fear I have is going into labor at work and getting stuck on 285 during rush hour, especially on days like today when it rains and all the roads shut down with gridlock. Of course our luck we'll get the once in a lifetime ice storm in Feb!!

I cant wait for your u/s next week. I have an apt on the 4th as well, but its just a normal check up.

I've heard RBA is really good. I went to GRS....I had heard such wonder things about them....and I was so excited up until I went there. They were the worse..first off they were more concerned with their statistics than helping me get pregnant! I was quite upset and needless to say...I wouldn't recommend anyone going their and I'm not surprised your DH didn't like the Dr's. I will look into your ob, atlanta isn't too far...to be honest..I really don't mind the drive..I go to a reproductive specialist in ATL. Whenever I really need to be relieved...I go there and he will give me an u/s..so I can see the baby and hear the baby's h/b. Had I known you were here in GA..I would have recommended a great place in ATL for you to get your doppler!! They were as early as 8 weeks and they really work...it's the one my ob uses in her house...lol she also has an u/s machine in her house...she is just as bad as we are! We have to meet up sometime...maybe go baby shopping or baby window shopping. I will send you a pm with my email address.

I am from Georgia! I live in Tallahassee, Florida now though. I was raised in Peachtree City and lived there till I was 17 years old. So 16 years of my life spent there. My dad still lives there so I go back occasionally. I think it is funny that you really do have to worry about rush hour traffic. That is one thing I hated was going into Downtown. Best wishes on your pregnancies!!
