This whole process has been a roller coaster: last year I had my first IVF...BFP...TWINS....M/C at 16 weeks.
Six months later another IVF...BFP on last tuesday 08/19....brown spotting that same day for 2 days. Stopped on friday 08/22.
Since yesterday night I have a terrible diarrhea...I am SO scared. My dr told me to drink plenty of water and some medicines and lots of soup and crackers. I am so scared!!!! I heard that diarrhea can cause contractions and therefor M/C....I don´t know what I would do. I don´t think I could go through another IVF...emotionally and financially. Everyone is telling me to be positive...how can I after my M/C? IVF are such terrible process!!!
My dr told me to be patient and wait till the U/S on 8 more days...yeah right...just wait..IT IS SO EASY FOR THEM TO SAY....
Stay away from anything with grease, fat & fiber in it. Drink plenty of water and gateraid to stay hydrated. There is a girl on my Feb 09' board that had this early on for about 3-4 weeks. The Dr wasnt much help with her either, but everything has been fine thus far.
Cheese or dairy tends to "block" people up. Maybe eat some LF cheese and crackers or eat grilled cheeses, see if that helps you to "stop" up.
Most important drink your fluids!! If need be go to the store and gets some pedilite, just make sure you don't get dehydrated.
I think I have (self diagnosed) IBS. I have terrible diarrhea and have had it my whole pregnancy. If I eat mexican food, greasy food, sometimes just a salad or a bowl of cereal within minutes I am in the bathroom. I also went through several heartaches and am finally PG with my 3rd transfer (FET). My docs said that no one will do anything about IBS while being PG and to eat foods high in fiber (you would think the opposite would happen) and to stay hydrated. I was eating a banana every morning and that seemed to help until I got gestation diabetes. Now that I am on the GD diet I haven't been having as many problems, yet again, my diet is pretty bland.
I know how scared you are, I was there too. But try to eat healthy, that seems to be working for me. Also, with daily diarrhea for now almost 8 months, I am still carrying my beautiful baby girl. I hope this helps.
Plain rice, banana, crackers, applesauce, toast..
Go easy on grease sugar, dairy.
My friend had food poisioning or flu at 7 weeks - vomited for three days, kept nothing down, and was okay, but I totally understand after everyting you have been through that this is hard. You have been through so much.
Take it easy if you can.
