Advice for new girl on block

Hello everyone. This is the first time that I have plucked up the courage to post, but I have been hovering in the background for a while reading some of the posts and rooting for you all! I would be so grateful if anyone out there can give me some advice.... I am stimming at the moment and I am getting in a bit of a panic that I am not responding adequately and that I might have to abandon the cycle if my response is not good enough. Background is, this is my first cycle of IVF (ICSI) and I am now on day 6 of stims (so I have had 5 doses of stims so far as I am injecting in the evening). I am on 450ius of Gonal f, which I think might be quite a high dose. This morning my (oestrogen?) level was 602, which the clinic described as a "little low" - they like it to be around 1,000 by this stage apparently. I haven't had a scan yet. Is it possible for me to get a decent number of follies with this sort of level? Has anyone had similar levels and gone on to retrieve enough eggs? Any advice very gratefully received, I am driving myself crazy with this...... Love Trix

Dear Trix sorry I dont have experience of what you describe but I hope things have improved since you posted.Have you tried mithering the clinic again? All the best love annie

hi trix i've did icsi last time round, i was a bit like you at first, then it kinda picked up and i ended up with lots of follicles, and eventually 11 eggs in total, just hang in there - keep us updated with how things are going take care and best of luck kiran

Hi Trix, I had low levels on one of my cycles but they just let me go a couple of days more and it had gone up and I got enough follicles for ec & et, so it could well have gone up next time they test. Thank you all so much for your messages, really encouraged to hear from Kat and Kiran that you were slow starters too and felt much more positive after reading your posts. Thanks also Annie for your message - I have had another blood test today and my levels have gone up again to 1000 this time which sounds better to me so that has also made me feel a bit more positive (the clinic still say it's a bit low though). I have a scan tomorrow aswell as bloods so am hanging in there waiting to see what happens then..... Thanks once again girls for your really helpful messages. Trix xx
