Hi,
I'm 32 my DH is 31 - we have been TTC for a little over a year now. After my second MC (both occurred at 6 weeks) my Dr. referred us to a RE to try to figure out what was going on. After a HSG and ton of blood work (and SA for DH) it turns out the problem is because of a balanced reciprocal translocation between my X and 10 chromosomes. Both my OB/Gyn and my RE are recommending IVF with PGD testing to insure that only good embryos are transferred and to increase chances of a successful pregnancy.
This entire process has seemed surreal. My last MC was in July and with still trying to handle that loss we are now trying to get our heads around this news and deciding what to do. We are both onboard with trying IVF but still have a lot of concern with having another MC (not sure if I could emotionally handle having 3 in such a close time frame) along with all of the other worries/fears about the process.
If anyone has any advice/experience they would like to share I would love to hear it. I have been reading through other posts and it has been a tremendous help - it definitely reminds me that I am not only person going through this.
Thanks in advance!
Jen
