DH and I have decided to use an egg donor for our next cycle. We have been thru 4 years of infertility treatment and I finally got pregnant, however the child had chromosomal abnormalities We are devasted, but at the same time decided to move forward and look for a donor now.
Please let me know if anyone would be interested and how to start the whole process. I do not know much about it yet...

Just wanted to offer my opinion regarding DE, which I am going to be going through myself, and hope it will help guide you in your decision making.
When it became clear to us that using my own eggs wasn't going to work for us, we asked our RE for a recommendation to help find us a reputable DE clinic, which he readily provided for us.
After the 1st consultation, the clinic puts you onto a waiting list and they, themselves match you with an anonymous donor. It wasn't necessary for us to find our own donor.
The donors from the clinic are under 35 and all go through a careful screening process and are volunteers. At some clinics the donors can donate up to 10 times, at other clinics it is less. I believe at some places you can also choose to use the eggs of a family member.
I actually don't have any experience with clinics in the US, as I live in Europe, but just wanted to let you know how things might possibly work there and that you don't necessarily have to start from square one.
I would suggest that when you are ready, find a clinic you are comfortable with and talk to them about their DE program and go from there. Everything will fall into place after that and it won't seem so daunting.
