Our KeepSake Ultrasound Expirience.

Post by SilverAngel679 »

Good Morning Every One. I just wanted to come on and post our happy little results. My husband and I went in for an early gender determination scan at a 3d unltra sound clinic and I am happy to report that with 85% accuracy at 13 weeks 1 day pregnant we are expecting a Boy and a Girl!!

We're so happy. That's exactly the combination that we where hoping to get and we counldn't be more thrilled.
We've started calling the babies by there names already and they seem so much more real to us now.

If any one is considering going for a Keepsake Sonogram at any point during their preganancy let me just say that it really is quite an expirience.

The room was large and had big couches for your guest to sit in (I was able to bring a max of 5 guests) And they had a huge projector screen on the wall so that everyone could see the ultrasound.

It was so cool just to have an ultrasound that focused solely on just seeing the babies for pleasure. In the doctors office you get to see a second of them as they take their mesurments and then before you can really enjoy anything, it's over.

We watched the babies twist and turn and every one was "awwing" when our little girl showed us her face and they moved their arms and legs. We got to comment that they boy looked just like daddy. I could never do that in the docs office.

The tech was so nice and it really was a great expirience!

I just wanted to add a note about the 3d/4d ultrasounds.

DH and I had one done at about 36 wks. This is later than they recommend (due to the size of the baby they worry about not being able to get a good view) but we just couldn't wait. It had been soooo long since we had seen the baby on ultrasound and we were anxious, so we decided even if we didn't get to see her real well, it was still worth the money.

And it was sooo worth it. We saw her, and her face and got pics and a dvd. I could tell right away that she had dh's nose. At this ultrasound, the tech informed us that the baby was in the breech position, which my ob did not know. When I told my ob at my next appt, they checked and sure enough, the baby was breech. This caused me to end up having a scheduled c-section at 39 wks due to position. If it were not for the 3d ultrasound, we may have never know until we went into labor and would have needed an emergency c-section.

If you have the money, I highly recommend it. And know that I have my baby, the ultrasound pics look exactly like her.
