I have been a reading & learning about how this works. Hope I do okay. I have never blogged or chatted or used a forum of any kind before.

I am 32 & this was my first IVF cycle. This all journey to the wonderful world of infertility started 2 years with my OB/GYN who referred me to a specialist after 2 years of unsuccessful attempts at getting pregnant. I also had 2 miscarrages in the distant past. After testing, we discovered I had a septate uterus & endometriosis. My DH also had some slight morphology issues. Surgery corrected my uterus. However, I still couldn't conceive. We have now been working with our clinic for a total of 2 years. We did 3 or 4 IUI's. The first with Clomid was not good. It made me less likely to conceive-my lining was too thin. The others used femera. I never had a good feeling about that. We also tried on our own. However, the chances weren't great. My DH is now almost 45 & we needed to get this show on the road. Therefore, we took the plunge.

The pill made me spot & was inconvenient, but fine. The lupron never made me irritable as we were told it would. The shots were not bad. However, I began hyperstimulating right at the beginning. I was on 225u follistim for four days & my estrogen was @ 762. The next day it was @ 1249. Two days later over 2900 & the day after that 5200. In all I was on stims for 8 days. It was planned to be 10 days. I had more than 20 follicles developing, but less than half were ready. However, my doctor called & said we were out of time. I had to do 1/2 the HCG dose that night. We retrieved on Monday & had 9 eggs. Eight fertilized. Early on d3 I received a call & said I had 6 8 cell "A" quality embies & 2 "B+" 6 cells. We would do a d5 transfer if we wanted. We opted for d3. Today would have been d5. If any are left they will freeze today. They'll let me know monday. Right now it is 2ww & I'm going crazy.

Wow, just read your story, it's very touching and I hope you were able to get your long awaited BFP! I notice you wrote this a few weeks ago. Hopefully you are happily pregnant! If not, so many people try a few IVFs before their BFP, so don't give up!!
