Dark Face Patches and Medication

Has anyone else noticed that their skin tone has changed since taking fertility meds.. progesterone esp.? I have gone to the derm. several times over the last 2 -3 years about the hyperpigmentation and wear sun screen ALL the time but it has continued to get worse... started above my lip, then my right cheek then in between my forehead and right cheek. They basically say I can't do anything about it until I stop trying to get pregnant. They say it is like the mask of pregnancy and that there are meds that I will be able to take but can't if I am trying.

I know my SIL gets patches on her face when she takes BCP especially if she goes in the sun ( she gets a dark one above her lip ). I must be the hormones.
