Natural Birth after C. Section?

Post by Vickyp »

Hi All

I just wanted to ask whether anyone had had a natural birth after a c.section and had any information to share. I had an emergency C.section with my first baby and found the labour of course gruelling (as does everyone!) but also frightening at the end and I was really after some advice on whether people generally think it is better just to go for a planned C.Section instead of trying naturally again. Any information gratefully recieved. Thanks. Vicky

If it helps, there's a VBAC FAQ at:

http://www.childbirth.org/section/VBACFAQ.html

Or google VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian)

I would think it all depends on what the emergency was. Is their a good chance that it could happen again? I would think that planning a c-section would easier if that was the case. I had a planned section and it was pretty easy. I do think that the next time around I'd like to try and deliver vaginally. Good luck in your search.
