I'm 28 years old and live in California. My DH is 33, and we have been ttc for 3 years. After visiting a RE, we discovered that due to a hernia operation when he was 4, my husband has extremely abnormal sperm morphology. In addition, I had endometriosis that was undiagnosed for 11 years. I had a lap in 2004 and since then no problems. My other tests (HSG, biopsy, labs, etc) were normal, but then I found out I have thrombophilia, and without taking Heparin would have miscarried anyway. I also need to take a low dose aspirin for the rest of my life and be careful to eat right and exercise in order to avoid a blood clot. So due to all this, we have to have IVF. I'm starting BCP's the last week in December. I'm very nervous, but hoping for the best and expecting the worst. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!
I don't have any advice as I'm new here too. It seems there are lots of ladies here with lots of knowledge though so I'm sure you'll get some useful info.
I wanted to say welcome though & best of wishes in your ivf journey. Stay positive!!
Hello Wednesday, Welcome.. I too live in CA and my husband and I just went through our 3rd IVF. I have 4 embryos in me and I am just completing the first week of the dreaded 2 week wait. I am also on Baby Asprin and Heparin twice a day for clotting issues- we got a BFP on our last IVF and miscarried our twins at 9 weeks. I think the best advice that I could give is to try to not stress too much about those things that you cannot control and also to make sure that you are truly wanting to yell at your DH before you start! The meds can make us all a bit on edge and moody.. Let me know if you have any other questions and take care on your exciting journey!
