I got a +ive pregnant test But im still unsure??

Hi,

I recenlty had IVF and were on day 8 since implantation. We tested early cause were excited and got a Postive result on a digital type of test.

.

However i just read that some drugs can cause a false postive. The drugs i had was buserelin and gonal F injections. I also had a shot of ovitrelle.

Please advise if you can.

I believe the drug that gives off the false positive is your HCG shot, though I'm not sure how long its in your system exactly.

The Shot was taken 14 days ago.

The trigger shot is normally 10,00 units, and the body gets rid of it at a 1,000 per day. Thats how mine worked and allot of woman seem to get the same thing. So the meds that may cause you a false positive should be out of your system bu now based on what I know.........I hve heard of false negatoves but very rarely false positives........

I would bet your preggers....congrats!!!

Congrats on the positive! Did you test any before yesterday? I did very early just because I wanted to know if the ovidrel was gone.

Sorry to crash your thread but i have a question. When i triggered with ovidrel, it never gave me a positive. Is this something normal?

I think it depends when you tested after the ovidrel. Some here say it can take up to 10 days to leave your body. I guess maybe it varies from each person?? I did a hpt 9 days after the shot & I got a neg. Not sure that's much help. If you tested very early after the shot I would think you'd have gotten a false positive due to the shot. Not sure, just thought I'd share what I did.

Hi guys,

Thank you for responding. I have done two more test today and both came back with a posative result. I have also talked to my ivf clinic and they have said that the ovitrell will be out of my system by now as it was 14 days ago that i have taken the shot. They did also advise me to do another test on the date they gave as i have four more sleeps till the date they wanted me to test, they also were posative that i am pregs but dont want me to get too excited (i am sorry but i am excited as i have never had a posative test before)

I am excited but i am in shock as i never thought i would see a posative on day 8. I also wanted to mention that i did have 2 eggs put back in so i am unsure if both have taken or one has taken, i will just have to wait now and see. Thank you for responing to the first question i will keep you all posted on the defo news, but i will go to bed tonight pregs as that is all i have to go on yippie xx

I triggered and tested right after my transfer which was 4dp retrieval. Something doesn't sound right to me. My whole cycle seems to be shady. Was I suppose to see a positive with the ovidrel trigger?
