what's going on with me?????

hiya folks- its been a while since i've posted but tried to forget about the ttc milarky (yeah rite!!) for a wee while! Anyway - i had 2nd ivf/isci in sep ( 27 eggs, 12 embies) , suffered ohss and was in hosi for a week and had to have all embies frozen for et hopefully jan. well, first af after treatment arrived on time and i was due this months af on the 3rd Nov- so heres my dilema.... she's still not here a week later and i have NEVER EVER been late or missed a period since i started. Whats going on!!!!! my head's all over the place... did a hpt on sat and of course it was -ive (after 7yrs ttc it would be a bloody miracle!!) but why is mother nature so cruel????

Hi Hayley I too have not posted for a while, trying to have a break(still beinG nosey though & keeping an eye on all!!) I also had OHSS back in May & had embies frozen....(unfortuantly did FET which failed in Sept-am hoping to start another one soon) After my tmt I had a period about 5 days after EC but my next one was 2 weeks late!! I too am never late & felt it was mother natures way of kicking me in the teeth!! Although you know deep down it cant be you get that glimmer of hope that maybe a miracle has happened.... I am sure it is all to do with the drugs in your system & your hormones needing to settle down. What I found weird was that having that first period just after tmt, thought everything would go back to normal... I did however, after FET, have AF a couple of days after testing & next AF arrived as normal which confirms it must be all the drugs etc as with FET no stimulation or EC.... Anyway, chin up........maybe talk to you later in the year as will be hopefully cycling again!! Are you having drugs assisted or natural FET( my clinic do not offer natural so drugs which takes about 8 weeks in total!! pain!! If i phone my clinic on day 1 of next AF-about end Nov-I should have embies (if they survive thaw) put back in mid january Have not helped much but at least you are not alone!! Take care Sarah xx

ah sarah thanks a million for your reply.. it has really helped me. still no sign of the aul hag but at least i know im not on my own!! we should be cycling together early jan (if everything goes to plan) and it would be brill to have you as a cycle buddie! sorry to hear your first own failed but here's to the new year!! my clinic said that they do use natural cycles but that there success rates were alot poorer so they strongly recommended drug assisted , so i didnt argue. just gonna enjoy the next few weeks and xmas ( and vino of course

HI there Just to say my af was 2 weeks late after failed ICSI in summer -of course got hopes up. But eventually af came

I think the drugs TOTALLY mess with your system (And mind!) - was just talking to my sis about this -shes also had IVF - and we reckon it took weeks to get the drugs totally out of ours systems before we felt 100% normal again. I think teh thing is not to rush anything.... Good luck Cazxx
