Any hope? Negative test 12d post retrieval

I probably shouldn't have, but I just took a hpt and got BFN. It's 12 days post ER and I'm scheduled for my blood test in 2 days on Sunday. I'm crushed as I've read about many with a BFP as early as day 8 post transfer. Any stories?

sammycat - no personal story myself, but I remember reading a post from a lady who took an HPT 10 or 12 days post transfer (the same day as her beta) and it was negative - yet her beta was positive and pregnant she was!

A friend of mine who went through IVF waited for her first blood test to find out results...the doc confirmed a BFP.

She went home and just had to POAS...she wanted to see those 2 lines...well, she got a BFN.

Moral of the story...those little sticks can be so, so wrong. Even after she was confirmed pregnant through blood work, an at home pregnancy test wasn't detecting it.

Sammy- As I told you in my other post to you for how to stay positive, I am a story that proves it can happen. I had a 3 day transfer last year on 12/14, my blood test was on 12/26. I started taking hpt's around 6 or 7 days post transfer as i had read it could show that early from others on this board, and I had all bfn's I took so many tests, my local pharmacy ran out of the hpt's I was using. 12/24, christmas eve morning, 2 days before blood test, another bfn. I was crushed, but then dh read that sometimes first morning pee is not good, so we tried again around 11 am and a faint faint line, we thought our eyes were playing tricks on us. My first beta number that monday was low, which is why the hpts were negative and then super faint, but I was pregnant! My beautiful daughter is now just over 3 months old...so don't lose hope just yet. Try to stay positive and good luck with your blood test...let us know how it goes.

oh, and my retrieval was 12/11, so I had a negative hpt as late as 13 days post retrieval...but now am blessed with a wonderful daughter...

Thanks for your stories. I'm trying to be positive, but yesterday I started bleeding, nothing heavy, but it was red. Today (13 days post retrieval), it's brown in color. My tiny bit of hope says maybe late implantation and therefore a little bleeding? I took a test this morning and again BFN. I think more likely the bleeding is light b/c of my progesterone shots. I go in for my Beta tomorrow morning. I'm still praying like crazy and would love to hear any more positive stories. Thank you all for helping me thru this.
