Just writing to introduce myself. I am new to posting on this site. Will be completing 1st IVF cycle in January so looking for buddies!!!! Doing IVF and PGD secondary to DH and myself being carriers for CF!!!

Welcome and I hope to see you join the Dec/Jan IVF thread. There's a bunch of us over there stimming, ER, ET, FET as we speak. Best of luck!

I'm new here too... I'm in the mist of the tww for IVF #1. It seems a little late to be joining this, but as most people say, this is one of the hardest parts. So, I'm just looking to share experiences and stories with others who are going or have gone through the IVF process.

Looking forward to "meeting" everyone!

welcome Manitou- How are you feeling after IVF #1? This is my first IVF cycle too. You'll find so much support here.

Thanks, Not Hopless! I'm feeling pretty good actually... The hardest part has been trying to remain positive and have the belief it can happen to me. The injections have been a breeze and don't seem to have effected me physically or mentally too much.

So far the hardest part has been the time between ER and ET.

Where are you in your cycle??

I'm most nervous about ER. From what i've read on here some women have no effects afterward. Others are in pain for a week... up to 3 weeks after. But it's all worth it.

I only had a little pain when I went to the bathroom for about 3 days after ER, but nothing too bad... The worst part was I had a cold at the time so didn't feel the best to begin with. Everyone is a little different. I'm sure you'll do great! When do you go in for ER?

I'm only on day 6 of stimming so I'm assuming ER will be the day after Christmas... I go back in this Fri for more blood/u.s. and should find out # of follies & sizes but they'll need to keep growing for another half dozen days I'm guessing.
