Six Weeks after a Succesful IVF

Post by San926 »

Hi Everyone,

I am in my 6th week after a succesful IVF, I am not sure if i should be overjoyed on hearing my positive pregnancy confirmation as after reading a lot of articles, unless i get done with my First Ultra sound, i shuld still be keeping my fingers crossed.

I dont have any morning sickness, except too much breast tenderness and sleepiness, and gassy!! :(

:?: Anyone in a similar situation or have similar thoughts.

I have my first ultrasound on Jan 16th, so the next two weeks will be a gruelling one for me.

Hi San

Yes please please be overjoyed with your BFP it is the most amazing news in the world to hear!! Congratulations to you :D, enjoy being pregnant and enjoy the not so pleasant sore lady lumps, tiredness and gaseous exchanges!! Please remember that although some of us have had a hard time lately there are just as many ladies if not more who go for their ultrasound and see their babys heart beating away. Have a look at some of the other threads and you will see many many babies on their way this year, join on to a thread for the month your baby will be due and you will make some wonderful friends who you can go through your pregnancy with. Try not to stress too much over the next couple of weeks.

Once again congratulations,

Lee xx
Finally I am a mummy, we are about to adopt our beautiful little girl xxxxx

Definitely feel happy and excited! You are well on your way to the family you have wanted!
Different women handle pregnancy differently. We all have a variety of experiences and health conditions, both good and bad.
Some of us are having easy times. In fact, a large majority of the human population breeze right through pregnancy without a hiccup.
Some of us have had years of tragedy before becoming pregnant this time. We are very much aware that a BFP doesn't guarantee a healthy baby in nine months, and we like to vent our feelings about this on the board because we have few other understanding outlets to do this.
On the other hand, to have a healthy baby in 9 months, you definitely have to have a BFP!!
So be as excited as you like! Have fun, just be careful.
Me - 37, DH - 46

BFP with 1st IVF! 1st beta 60.85, 2nd beta 975!! Its a boy!

symptoms

Post by bdantonio »

I always tell pople when u do fertility we expect symptoms cause we know we are pregnate however most women dont get symptoms until 10 weeks or so. Most women who concieve naturally dont know they are till a missed period and by the time they take a test they are 7-9 weeks along we are 10 days post conception.. its alot different in the infertility world, we have diffrerent standards and expectations we have to remember most women dont even know when we do.
