Endometriosis

Post by homa »

I have severe endo and I would like to know if the pain disappears as soon as I conceive or would it stay for the duration of the pregnancy.

Do not know of how much help I can be BUT when I had my c-section with my twins they saw a slight case of endo. They did not know it was there before hand. I was premature at 31 weeks which was a combination of twins, and my uterus not being able to stretch more. They said I also went into preterm with them because of the scar tissue from the endo? They scraped my uterus while they were in there so when I get preggo again it should be able to give more and let me carry longer. But I did not have pain while pregnant, just uncomfortable the bigger the girls got.

I have PCOS which leads to pain at times (cramping) and that went away when I was preggers but is back now.
Me: 25 PCOS, BFP 1st time with twin girls!

My wife had moderate endo, and her pain was severe only during her period. There was no pain during the pregnancy, since she didn't have periods. I don't know how it would work for severe endo.

Our daughter is nearly 9 months old now, my wife has had her period back for about 6 months, and the pain is still gone. We don't know for sure whether it was the pregnancy that did that, or some dietary changes we made, or just luck.

dear homa, endometriosis is actually the endometrial cells that should be lining in the uterine cavity implanted out of the uterus, this tissue cells tend to growth because of the hormones and bleed during menses, that is why u have pain. so when u r pregnant, ur menses will not occur and thus u should feel no pain at all, if u have pain i think u should go back to ur doctor.
