Have you had a FET?

Post by wolffie »

Hi Everyone!

My first IVF cycle was a BFP and my ds is now almost 7 months old. He is wonderful and my dh and I can't wait for more. We have two frozen embies left from our first IVF and are planning on using them this summer. I am not feeling very positive about the FET but my dh is. I would like to use both embies but he only wants to use one at a time.

I hope you can share some info with me...
Did you have a BFP or a BFN?

If you had a BFP how many embies did you transfer?
How many implanted?

Thanks and best wished to everyone!

I have had 2 FET. One was after a failed fresh cycle and it didn't work and one was after a successful fresh cycle and I only put one in and it worked but ended in an early miscarriage. I think if you have them in the freezer it is worth a try but I guess it is hard to know how many to put back. How many did you put back on the fresh cycle? Also, it depends how your clinic stored them - if they are frozen together they have to defrost both at once.

Good Luck.

Hi Daniella,
You've given me a lot of advise in the sustainability/affordability thread, so I guess now is my turn "to give back"

I've had 2 FET (you can look at my signature for more history), one failed, one successful (this one!). We transferred 2 each time and one implanted with this last one.

One thing about FET is that they are much more relaxing and easier on the body. From what I've read/heard it works better for some women because of that (but of course you had a bfp with a fresh cycle). Anyway, FET do work. Let me know if you have more questions, I'll be happy to answer.
