Need help with anxiety during TWW

Post by Anxious In Cincy »

This is my 1st IVF treatment since my husband andI have been trying for 3 years. I have had 4 IUIs and got pregnant on the 1st one but lost the baby 8 weeks later. I have never had anxiety in my entire life but since I got my transfer I find myself thinking about it all the time. What if it didn't work? The money, dissappointment and and hurt from going through all of that and I am having trouble keeping it cool. I have 5 more days before I take my blood test. I am having trouble breathing sometimes and am trying not to focus onthe negatives. I have started listening to meditation tapes which has helped a little but while I am at work it's not like I can do that. Can anyone recomend anything to calm my nerves?

Many of us are in the same situation. There are a bunch of us in 2ww in <In> section <2> thread, why don’t you join us there?

I was thinking that it’s ironic that just when a glass of wine would be most beneficial, we can’t have it…or the hot bath either, which I usually use to relax.

I am doing acupuncture, which doesn’t last 24hrs a day, but it is very calming during treatment and afterwards. I also try to take a lot of walks. And, goofy as it sounds, we light a candle every night and try to think positive.

I just realized you've probably already had your beta. Hope it turned out well for you. Sorry you didn't get a faster response to your post.
